Our Junior High curriculum is equipped with academic fundamentals, providing students with critical thinking skills and sound study habits that will enable them to succeed in high school. Core subject fully meet the national curriculum requirements. Fine art courses awaken students’ creativity and vision.

Paññāsāstra International School‘s Senior High programs encourage students to explore the depth of their intellectual, physical, emotional and social potential. Our team of administrators, teacher, and counselors are committed to the success of all students.

Our college preparatory curriculum provides learning opportunities through comprehensive core subjects, a strong emphasis on reading and research and an exhaustive array of elective coursework. Students may choose from College Preparatory or National and International Baccalaureate (NIB) classes in planning a course of study. College Preparatory courses are designed to familiarize students with the contents, teaching techniques and study expectations present in the college classroom. National and International Baccalaureate candidates participate in a rigorous pre-university course of study.

Language Arts: Reading and writing comprehension are vital components of our language art training with texts and coursework designed to build skills in these valuable areas.

Mathematics: Students in grades 7th through 12th will be grouped according to skill level and placed in appropriate mathematic classes. All mathematic classes are conducted on or above grade level with accelerated texts and supplemental materials to enhance the learning process. Higher mathematics comprising calculus differential and integral, geometry, and algebra offered to advanced students in the grade 7 and up.

Science and Social Studies: Science lessons cover force, motion, energy, mathematics, life processes, living systems, earth patterns and the human body. PSIS’s students will progress through our social studies curriculum by studying national and world history, geography, economic and business concepts.

Fine Arts: Fine arts are an integral part of our curriculum. Specialized teachers offer students lessons in drawing and painting, music appreciation, and choir. Competitions and special assemblies throughout the school year allow our talented students to express themselves artistically.

Computer technology: Advanced computer literacy is a must for today’s college bound student. Paññāsāstra International School’s computer department provides extensive computer training from basic word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation skills to programming.

Physical Education and Sports: Daily physical education classes encourage students to pursue the strengthening and refinement of body and mind. We are committed to the achievement of all students and provide academic assistance and counseling both during and after school hours.

Academic Contest: Science fair, Literature and Spelling Bees.
